Dr Ahmed El-Medany

Dr Ahmed El-Medany is a Cardiology registrar in the Severn Deanery and BHF Clinical Research Training Fellow at Imperial College London, where he is undertaking a PhD in cardiac electrophysiology and artificial intelligence. His research focuses on AI-enhanced ECG analysis, including portable and wearable ECG signals, with broader interests in autonomic dysfunction and digital health innovation. He holds an MSc in Preventive Cardiology and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Dr El-Medany has authored over 20 publications and presented at major international conferences including ESC, EHRA, and SCMR. He is also an enthusiastic educator, classical guitarist, and licensed private pilot.
